Fairy Tale Trail – Dragon Gorge
Nature's biggest playground is a 3 km long adventure
hiking trail through the forest with the longest rope bridge of the Alps (175 m), the witch ride, the witch named Kniesebein (from 13/09 only on Sundays), an old time blacksmith's shop, shuttles (bonus), various fairy tale and playing areas, possibilities to take a break; no circle hiking trail, accessible
with pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Monkey Mountain – a real adventure
Have you ever observed free-roaming monkeys at close range? At Monkey Mountain, you have the unique opportunity to observe monkeys in a free-roaming environment. There are no glass panes or cages to separate you from the animals. We will walk you through Monkey Mountain and tell you all you want to know about our monkeys and other species. Our swimming monkeys are a special attraction. The Japanese Macaques have two ponds where they dive for food, cool down on hot days or simply play. We want to ensure that our Japanese Macaques lead a life that simulates a life in freedom as much as possible.
Minimundus – the miniature world on lake Wörthersee
MINIMUNDUS, the miniature world at Lake Wörthersee, is a place to enjoy, stay a while, learn interesting things, have fun, see and experience. The approximately 150 models of famous structures, trains and ships take visitors on a trip around the world in miniature format. Around the world in one day! Visiting the Sydney Opera House, strolling under the Eiffel Tower, taking a picture in front of the Taj Mahal, enjoying an ice cream in front of St Peter's Basilica, admiring the Statue of Liberty, and many more things. The core elements of MINIMUNDUS are the models that are constructed with close attention to the smallest details on a scale of 1:25 and, if technically feasible, by using original materials, like sandstone, basalt lava or marble. They are created in the MINIMUNDUS model workshop, by schools or by expert model makers. Even the smallest details - shutters, ornaments, street lamps - are accurate here.
The technical models enjoy special popularity, for example the various trains that chug around their route through the park and cover 5,000 km per train set per year, or the Space Shuttle that sets off to new worlds every hour.
Alpine Wildlife Park – Feld am See
A tourist destination offering 4 attractions: Wildlife Park: an eventful hike through the child-friendly animal park. Fish Museum: preparations of fish species from local lakes and rivers, old fishing gear. Grizzly's World: animals of the Canadian wilderness, accessible bear cave, natur film. New and unique: Experience Africa.

Bathing
Out of Carinthia' s more than 1270 lakes, 200 are suitable for bathing. In the summer, they can be as warm as 26 to 28 °C, and they have drinking quality water. Such lakes include Wörther See, Millstätter See and Ossiacher See. At most of the beaches, sections are separated for small children, which are laid fine grained sand. You should carry the sand toys along! At Pressegger See, sprightly kids may also visit a fun and adventure park.
Porsche Museum
Europe's first private Porsche Museum is situated in Gmünd, the birthplace of the first car named Porsche (1944-1950). The extensive collection contains 40 exhibits: from Porsche 356 style 356 020 ALU, designed and built in Gmünd, over the floatable Porsche hunting wagon (1956) to Porsche rally and race cars.
Sledge Run
At Turracher Höhe, an all year operating sledge run called "Nocky Flitzer" starts at 2000 m altitude. This exciting, crooked and steep run stretches 1600 m long. Heidi Alm at Falkertsee is popular in the winter among beginner skiers, while in the summer, wandering along the walking path among characters from the Heidi's tale, you can find out for yourself why Heidi and her friends were so happy in this wonderful Alpine scenery.
The latest features of the neighbourhood include Granatium in Radenthein (excellent program for bad weather: an opportunity to mine your own granite pieces and have them polished) and Sagamundo (the House of Tales) in Döbriach.
Winter Holidays with Children
While spending the winter holidays at Bad Kleinkirchheim, adults and children may equally find amusement. Sunshine, fun and snow-proof ski runs are available without limits. Being a popular family friendly holiday resort, Bad Kleinkirchheim has a long tradition of and the relevant experiences in assembling offerings and holiday programs for parents and children alike. While minors may enjoy the safe skiing lessons for children, and try the first turns on perfectly maintained slopes, adults may choose among wilder ski runs, sun-decks, red settees and day-beds, or pleasant "Hüttes".
"Penguin Bobo"
In "Penguin Bobo' s Club" children can learn how to ski in a fun way. They float after the instructor among rabbits and penguins, through the "Rabbit Tunnel", and finally arrive at the magic carpet as professional skiers. At the competition closing the week' s training, they can show their parents what they' ve learnt during the week. They are given a medal and a certificate bearing their photos as proof of their achievements. Instruction can be conducted in groups or privately. The time frame can be one or two hours, moreover, even half and full programs are available with catering.
If you get tired of skiing, you can enjoy the sledge runs and skating rinks. "Night" sledge riding, tyre sliding and snow-boot excursions also offer a wonderful experience. If you spend a week in our hotel, you will enjoy more than simple rest. The body and the soul are fondled alike to support perfect recreation.
